    Nicky McCreary- Senior Pastor

    Originally from Alabama (Roll Tide!), Nicky has been serving churches in Georgia since 1997. He has been in ministry since 1978, with most of those years being in Youth Ministry, including being the EHBC Youth Pastor from 2010-2020 before transitioning to Lead Pastor. He has also served churches in Alabama, Texas, and Tennessee. He is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and the University of North Alabama. Nicky enjoys too many sports, especially golf & hunting, and keeping his 1984 Jeep CJ7 running. He is married to Amanda and they have two daughters and four grandchildren which has now become their favorite way to spend their free time. His vision for EHBC is that we exist to be a life-changing church. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ is what changes our lives and our goal is to provide opportunities to encounter Him.

    Nathan Jones - Youth Pastor

    Nathan is from Hoschton, GA and is married to Sarah Jones from Flowery Branch. He felt called to Youth Ministry 5 years ago while serving with grades 6-12 in north Georgia and loves their energy and excitement for Christ. He joined the EHBC leadership team in November of 2023 and is currently enrolled at Liberty University to complete his Bachelor of Science in Applied Ministry. He is passionate about educating students in their faith so that their relationship with Jesus can have a foundation rooted in scripture and trust in His character while doing so in fellowship and communion with students their own age. His hope for the students of Eastern Heights is to fan a flame in their hearts to dive deeper into their faith and want to tell others about the gospel of Jesus.

    Kim Freeman - Children's Director

    Kim is a Bulloch County native and resides in Statesboro with her husband, Tim, and youngest daughter, Lily Grace. She and Tim's oldest two children and grandson also live in Statesboro. 

    Kim is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she majored in Early Childhood Education and Child Development. 

    With a heart for children and their spiritual growth, Kim absolutely loves her role as the Children's director at EHBC.

    Her goal is to walk side by side with the parents as they shepherd the children of EHBC together.

    James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift comes from above.

    CJ Simmons - Connections Pastor/Contemporary Worship Leader

    CJ was born and raised in Statesboro, Ga. CJ is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies at Truett McConnell University. CJ served on staff with Chi Alpha Campus Ministry at Georgia Southern alongside his wife, Roseanna. CJ began serving as the Contemporary Worship Leader at EHBC in November of 2022 and stepped into the role of Connections Pastor in December of 2023. CJ's heart is for missions and outreach. He wants the lost to be found and the found to be fed.

    Tim Anderson - Pastoral Care Minister/Media Production

    Along with his wife Pam and son Tim, Jr., Tim Anderson began attending EHBC in 2009 and soon after joined the Media Ministry Team, serving with them faithfully for many years. Presently, Tim serves as both Leader and Sponsor in our Celebrate Recovery program, through which he ministers to people recovering from trauma, addictions, family issues, and many other spiritual needs. Tim was ordained into deacon ministry in 2015 and in 2017 accepted the call to pastoral ministry. He subsequently graduated from Saint James College and Seminary as a Certified Public Chaplain in 2017. Tim was ordained as a Pastor at EHBC in 2018 and currently serves as Pastoral Care Minister, assisting the Pastoral staff with administration duties and hospital/shut-in visitations and leads our Media/Production.

    Tracey Radney - Administrative Assistant

    Tracey began her service as Church Secretary at EHBC in March of 2006. She was born & raised in Wisconsin, saved at an early age, and has had the joy of seeing God move in many churches in Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Georgia, before God called her to unite with EHBC, where she is excited to see God working. Tracey is a graduate of Guido Bible College and leads the JESUS ROCKS Ministry, a community outreach mission. Tracey and her husband, Lee, have three sons, one daughter, and six grandchildren who bring her great joy.

    Christina Rountree - Children's Intern

    Christina was born and raised right here in Statesboro, GA. She grew up in Eastern Heights Baptist church helping her mom and dad in the children’s ministry. Christina is currently enrolled at Georgia Southern University earning her bachelors in Human Development and Family Science with a concentration in Birth-kindergarten to become a certified teacher. Christina’s dream is to become a Pre-K or Kindergarten teacher. She enjoy planning and preparing for the children’s ministry as well as engaging with children to teach and show them the love of God.

    Andrew Wachniak - Youth Intern

    Andrew is from Statesboro and has been a part of EHBC for most of his life. He met his wife, Rachel, at Eastern Heights and they have been married for five years. Their daughter, Abigail, is two and loves playing with her friends every Sunday. Andrew moved to the Atlanta area after graduating from Georgia Southern and served in the youth ministry and private school associated with a local church. While serving with students, Andrew discovered a passion for teaching and encouraging young believers and felt a call to ministry. Andrew and his family returned to Statesboro in 2024 and he accepted a position as Youth Intern. Andrew is excited to be home and have a chance to learn and grow in his home church.
